About TTG

TTG (Thesis Title Generator) helps college and graduate students, mostly in the Philippines, get from a vague interest to a short list of specific, feasible research titles they can discuss with an adviser.

How it works

  1. You choose your program, degree level and research type, and describe what interests you.
  2. TTG removes email addresses and phone numbers, then sends your description to Google's Gemini model with instructions to propose titles only.
  3. Every response is checked before you see it: its structure is validated, near-duplicate titles are dropped, and any title that cites sources, quotes statistics or claims to be the first of its kind is removed.
  4. You get titles with a two-sentence rationale, draft research questions, a suggested method and a feasibility note. You can copy, save, regenerate or refine them.

TTG suggests topics. It does not write theses.

TTG will never write chapters, literature reviews, abstracts, methodologies, citations or results, and it ignores requests to. A title is where your own work begins: check that the topic hasn't already been done at your school, make it yours, and agree on it with your adviser. Follow your institution's rules on the use of AI tools.

Privacy

TTG runs on Google's free Gemini tier, so Google may use what you type to improve its products. Don't enter names, contact details or other personal information.

TTG keeps a record of each generation (your description with contact details removed, and the titles returned) so it can run its limits and cache repeated requests. If you're signed in, you can see your own records under History; nobody else can. To enforce limits for visitors who aren't signed in, TTG stores a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself.

Limits

TTG runs on Google's free Gemini tier, which allows only a small number of requests a day. To keep it available for everyone:

  • Visitors who aren't signed in get 5 generations a day.
  • Signed-in students get 30 generations a day.
  • Regenerate and each refinement count as a generation. Repeating an identical request doesn't.
  • Everyone shares a daily allowance. When it runs out, TTG asks you to come back tomorrow instead of failing halfway.

Limits reset at midnight Philippine time.
